Michael "Woody" Wooding

Woody's expertise is built on 16 years with Auto Appraisal Network, where he specialized in diminished value, fair market value, and prior-to-loss appraisals — work that requires both rigorous methodology and an intimate understanding of what makes a vehicle valuable.

He is not a generalist who learned cars from a textbook. Woody has owned twelve different Corvettes spanning 1967 through 2002, three El Camino SS models (1968, 1969, and 1981), a 1970 GTX, and three Mercedes-Benz vehicles, to name a few. He has also owned and ridden two Harley-Davidson motorcycles and was a member of the Area 1 Harley Owners Group. That hands-on ownership history means he understands collector and muscle car values from the inside out — not just the auction results, but the feel, the details, and the nuances that separate an ordinary car from an exceptional one.

Woody's visibility in the automotive community extends beyond ownership. He is a regular guest on the podcast In Wheel Time and has served as a judge at the 27th, 28th, and 29th annual Wheels & Keels Concours Shows. He participates in collector car events and auctions whenever possible, keeping his market knowledge current and his network deep.

Through Apex Legal Solutions, Woody applies that depth to expert witness assignments, formal appraisals, and consulting engagements for attorneys, insurers, dealers, and private collectors. He has served as an expert witness in Harris County auto-related cases within the last four years and is currently engaged on cases in Harris County for the Law Office of Gillian Richards and Mical Whiteman COX P.L.L.C.
